Quote vs estimate — what's the difference?

A quote is a fixed price you commit to; an estimate is your best approximation, which may change. This template works for both — just set the heading and note which you're providing.

How to use this template

  1. Fill in your details, the client, the scope, and your prices.
  2. Set a "valid until" date so the pricing has a clear window.
  3. Click Print / Save as PDF above and send it to your client.
  4. When they accept, collect a deposit to lock it in — CrexiPay lets you take a deposit up front and bill the balance in one click.

Tips for a quote that gets accepted

  • Be specific about what's included — and what isn't.
  • Break the price into line items so the value is clear.
  • Add a validity date and clear next step (e.g. "pay a 50% deposit to book").

See how to protect your time with a deposit, then bill the balance later.
