Contractors carry the risk on every job: materials bought on your card, a crew on the clock, and a customer who “will mail a check Friday.” CrexiPay gives you a simple way to get money moving before you load the truck. Collect a deposit to cover materials, track exactly what’s still owed, and bill the balance with one tap at the final walkthrough. No software to learn, no developer, and if you don’t have a Stripe account yet, we set one up for you.

What you get

Built for the way jobs actually get paid

Deposit before you break ground

Ask for a percentage or a fixed amount up front so materials and scheduling are covered before you commit a crew.

Bill the balance at the walkthrough

When the job’s signed off, send the remaining balance in one tap. The customer, amount and job details carry over automatically.

Itemized invoices with tax

List labor, materials and fixtures line by line, add a discount or sales tax, and send a branded invoice the customer can actually read.

Paid from the driveway

Customers pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer (ACH) from their phone, which helps on larger jobs where card fees add up.

Know the moment it clears

Get an instant alert on your phone when a payment lands, and your customer gets a receipt automatically. No chasing, no guessing.

Your money, your account

Every payment settles to your own Stripe account and pays out to your bank on Stripe’s normal schedule. We never hold your funds.

Common questions

Questions, answered

How much deposit should a contractor ask for?

It depends on the trade, the job size and your local rules. Many contractors ask for enough to cover materials and scheduling, often 10% to 50%. Some states cap residential deposits, so check your state’s contractor licensing rules. CrexiPay lets you set any percentage or fixed amount per job.

Can my customers pay by bank transfer instead of card?

Yes. Alongside cards and digital wallets, CrexiPay turns on ACH bank payments where Stripe supports them, which costs far less than a card on a large invoice. Your customer simply picks how they want to pay.

Do I need a Stripe account or a website?

No. You don’t need a website or any code. If you don’t have a Stripe account yet, we set one up for you during signup; if you already have one, you connect it in a couple of clicks. Prefer paper for now? Try our free contractor invoice template.

What does CrexiPay cost for contractors?

1% on card and wallet payments, 0.5% on ACH (capped at $10 per payment), on top of Stripe’s standard processing fees. No monthly fee, no setup fee and no contract, so you only pay when a customer pays you. Estimate your fees →
